En 1949 apareció la moto que cambiaría el panorama de nuestras calles: la célebre Guzzi 65, apodada Langostino o Saltamontes. Con su aspecto desgarbado y su marcha tranquila, la Guzzi 65 superó todas las expectativas y bien merece el título de El Primer Vehículo Popular de España (batiendo en difusión al Ford T y precediendo a la Mobylette, la Vespa y el Seat 600). Siguiendo este concepto de sencillez, en 1953 se presentó la Z 98, una moto carenada diseñada para competir con los scooters.
In 1949, a motorcycle emerged that would change the landscape of Spanish streets: the legendary Guzzi 65, nicknamed «Langostino» (Prawn) or «Saltamontes» (Grasshopper). With its unassuming appearance and smooth ride, the Guzzi 65 exceeded all expectations and rightfully earned the title of «Spain’s First Popular Vehicle», surpassing the Ford T in reach and preceding the Mobylette, Vespa, and Seat 600. Following this same philosophy of simplicity, the Z-98 was introduced in 1953, a streamlined motorcycle designed to compete with scooters.
